Participate in curriculum development, committee, and task force work

Perform necessary communication with families, write semester progress reports, and attend required meetings and events

Engage in reflective practice and various professional growth activities

Collaborate and work with the music director to produce the spring musical and to prepare younger Middle School students for our arts expo each semester

A degree with a major in education, theater, or a related field

Collaborative spirit and interest in team-teaching and creating a joyful learning environment

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to organize and manage a positive classroom grounded in a belief that all learning begins with attending to children’s developmental social and emotional needs

Willingness to create, teach and adapt an integrated, inquiry-based curriculum

Commitment to teaching diverse learning styles and differentiated instruction

Interest in outdoor, hands-on, environmental education
